“Share” – Faith into Action

“To love God and neighbor is not something abstract, but profoundly concrete: it means seeing in every person the face of the Lord to be served, to serve him concretely. And you are, dear brothers and sisters, the face of Jesus.”  Pope Francis

(Watch for the monthly poster in the gathering area, weekly bulletin, and website for more details.)

July Activity – Neighborhood Evangelization

“I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?”
Quote from St. Teresa of Calcutta

This activity is suggested to be completed on your own sometime during the month of July.  In our neighborhoods, there are always families moving in and out of the area.  Or perhaps there is a family you have always wanted to meet or someone you would just like to get to know better.  Do we make time to extend kindness to those so close to us; those right in our own neighborhoods?  For ideas and suggestions to help us get started putting our "Faith into Action" pdf click here (617 KB)

August 5, 2017, 9:00 am – Rosary for the Unborn and Those Considering Abortion

Please join us – along with the SEAS Knights of Columbus at the South Wind Women’s Center to pray for the unborn and those considering an abortion. We will meet at the Center and park on the street adjacent to the building. The Knights usually pray for an hour but you are welcome to stay for as long as you are able.  We will be walking along the sidewalk while reciting the rosary, but you are also welcome to bring a lawn chair and sit on the sidewalk.  If it is very sunny on that morning, you are also welcome to bring an umbrella.  We will have bottled water available.

Through our witness of prayer, we can touch the hearts and minds of many.

Directions to the Clinic:
Going east on Kellogg, take the Oliver Street exit.  Continue past Oliver on the access road (E Kellogg Dr) for about .1 of a mile and turn right on South Bleckley Dr.  You can park right along the street.  The address of the Center is 5107 E Kellogg.

If you are unable to join us, please say a rosary sometime during the day asking our Blessed Mother and St. Teresa of Calcutta for their intercession. Pray that love and respect for life will conquer evil and blindness.

“The greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."
Quote from St. Teresa of Calcutta

September 7, 2017, 7 PM – Getting Outside Our Comfort Zone

“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.”  Quote from St. Teresa of Calcutta

All around us are people who need Christ. Do we see them? All around us are believers who are struggling to walk with Christ. Do we see them? All around us are believers desperately wanting to be connected but are entrenched in loneliness. Do we see them? How can we extend our love of Christ to others? How do we get outside our comfort zone?  Join us for a presentation by Fr. Orr on “Putting Our Faith into Action; Becoming God’s Messenger”.  The presentation will also include specific activities we can put into practice on a daily basis.
